Privacy Policy
Last updated 17 August 2026
Outpost: Dead Ground (the app) is published by FaithDev. The app has no user accounts, no servers of its own, no analytics, and no advertising. This policy describes the small amount of data that is nonetheless processed, and by whom.
What stays on your device
Your progress — runs completed, credits, upgrades, settings, and which charters you own — is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to us. There is no cloud save. Deleting the app deletes this data, and we cannot recover it for you.
The daily sector is derived from the calendar date on your device rather than fetched, which is how every player gets the same ground without an account and without a connection.
Purchases
In-app purchases are processed by Apple and managed on our behalf by RevenueCat, Inc., which the app uses to determine which purchases you are entitled to. We never see or handle your payment details — those go to Apple, under Apple's own privacy policy.
RevenueCat processes the following on our behalf:
| Data | Purpose | Linked to you | Used for tracking |
|---|---|---|---|
| Purchase history | App functionality — restoring and validating what you bought | No | No |
| Device identifier | App functionality — the anonymous id your purchases are keyed to | No | No |
The identifier is Apple's vendor identifier, which is specific to this app on this device. We do not send RevenueCat your name, your email address, or any other identifying attribute, and the app never calls its login API — so the purchase record is tied to an anonymous id and not to a person.
What the app does not do
- No account, no sign-in, no email address collected in the app.
- No analytics or telemetry SDK, and no crash reporter.
- No advertising and no ad network.
- No tracking across apps or websites, and therefore no App Tracking Transparency prompt.
- No location, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or health data.
- No web views, so nothing you do in the app is browsing.
Children
The app is rated 4+ and contains no objectionable content. It is not directed at children specifically, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age.
The mailing list
If you gave us an email address on this website, we use it to tell you when the beta opens and when the app is released, and for nothing else. We do not sell or share it. Every message includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can also ask us to remove you at the address below.
Your rights
You can delete everything the app holds about you by deleting the app. To ask what RevenueCat holds against your device identifier, or to have it deleted, write to us at the address below and we will action it with them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with a new date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
